Dreams in Iridescent Stillness captures the quiet tension between hope and doubt—an exploration of the space where desire meets delay. A bird, symbolizing freedom and the ability to fly, is wrapped in holographic paper. Though unmoving, the object emits a shimmer, representing the dream of liberation that remains alive beneath layers of fear, uncertainty, and self-protection.
The wrapping serves a dual purpose: both as a gift and a barrier. Its reflective surface presents beauty and hope, yet its presence also signifies delay—a resistance to release, to action, to change. In this state of uncertainty, the veiled object becomes a metaphor for the human condition: holding light within, yet often halted by doubt and the instinct to remain within a comfort zone.
Rather than portraying escape or arrival, this work stands in the middle—a stillness not of defeat, rather of waiting. It invites the audience to reflect on the dreams carried within, wrapped in hope, waiting for the right moment to finally be unwrapped and set free.
