The Veil of Light Bonds is a series of paintings that examines the shifting role of religion in contemporary society through symbolic reinterpretations of Catholic iconography. As religious imagery is increasingly employed to serve social, political, and personal interests, its sacred significance is often reduced to a superficial marker of identity and status. In response, the series veils and binds familiar religious figures, transforming them into meditations on faith, perception, and spiritual presence.

Executed in oil on canvas using a polyptych format, the works shift attention away from the direct representation of figures such as Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary toward the interplay of veils, folds, light, shadow, and concealment. These elements become a new visual surface through which the divine is encountered—not as a fixed image, but as a presence revealed through nature and contemplation. By obscuring the icon, the series suggests that revelation may arise precisely through concealment.
